The international SiGe Technology and Device Meeting (ISTDM) is one of the most important conferences and events in the SiGe research community, which was started for the first time in Nagoya in Jan. 2003 by motivation of promoting applications and commercialization of SiGe and strained device/process technologies in microelectronics industries. Since then, ISTDM runs as a conference series in every even-year in rotation hosted by countries in three continents.
The 4th ISTDM will take place in Ambassador Hotel Hsinchu, Taiwan, May 11-14, 2008, including a three-day conference, together with one-day tutorial courses for advanced growth and characterization techniques. The conference will focus on topics relating to (1) device-oriented materials; (2) processing technologies; (3) Devices & Architectures, and (4) Circuits & Applications, aiming for an active forum to bring researchers and engineers together for discussion of the latest results, to foster new ideas that have the potential for further advancement of SiGe-based technologies, and to give impact to the relevant industries in the area.
