PRESENTATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Advantages of Poster Format
In presenting your poster, the material is available to the audience throughout the poster session and attendees can inspect graphs and photos at their convenience. Using this format, it is more likely that you will be able to meet and discuss your work with attendees who have a direct interest and knowledge in the same area.
Preparation of Material for a Poster
The success of a poster, as with an oral presentation, depends primarily upon its content. However, the presentation technique significantly enhances interest and comprehension by the attendees. The theme of the paper should be grasped by an observer within a few seconds and more detailed information on methods and conclusions should be understandable within a few minutes. If the poster is of special interest to the viewer, he/she will ask questions or discuss the results with you. The poster must basically tell the story by itself. Only essential text should be given, and diagrams, graphs or photos can be included. Plan your text and graphics so that visual contrast is high. Lettering should be large enough for reasonable visibility.
Display
Display boards ( 88cm wide by 148cm high ) will be available for your presentation. The paper number and title will be mounted on the top of the board by the conference staff. The poster should be measured within horizontally 85cm max. and vertically 145cm max. , and the title of the paper, author(s)' name(s) and affiliation(s) should be written at the top part of the poster. In order to ensure a high-quality presentation, all poster materials must be in printed form.
Mounting and Removal
Authors are required to set up their materials at 08:00~13:30, May 12 , using the thumbtacks provided on site. No paste, glue, or staples are permitted. Authors who wish to keep their posters should remove them after the presentation or leave them for public viewing for the rest conference period. The organizer shall dispose all posters left after 19:30, May 13 .
Poster Presentation
Poster presentations will be held from 16:30 to 18:00 on Monday, May 12 and 15:00 to 16:30 on Tuesday, May 13 , at least one of the authors is asked to be in attendance during the time. Unattended posters may be removed by the Program Committee and deleted from the official conference record. You may find it useful to have a tablet and a pen with you for explanations and notes in respect to discussions with interested parties. |
